Overview of the role: Software Developer position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to design and implement complex software in a highly technical environment.  

 

What you’ll do:  

• Analyse and modify existing C++ code 

• Design and implement new software using C++ and TypeScript languages 

• Analyse business requirements and estimate development efforts required 

• Identify missed requirements, requirement gaps, and functional bugs 

• Follow release planning guidelines, peer code review and other SDLC procedures 

• Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions 

• Review functional and design specifications in order to ensure a full understanding of deliverables 

• Participate in project meetings and provide detailed status reports and updates on your deliverables 

• Develop and maintain healthy collaborative relationships with other teams and colleagues 

 

What you’ll bring:  

• Excellent knowledge of C++ 

• 2+ years of day-to-day C++ development 

• Excellent coding skills, ability to produce robust and readable code to meet the specs 

• Knowledge of computer networking, distributed applications, and Internet communication protocols 

• Knowledge of SQL scripting and relational databases 

• Strong logical and analytical skills and the ability to think clearly and flexibly 

• Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects and priorities with reasonable supervision 

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate issues and results in a clear, concise, and precise manner, both verbally and in writing 

• Detail-oriented and able to catch small issues and inconsistencies that others would miss 

• B.Sc. or better in Computer Science or equivalent
