We are looking for a Senior Director of Security Services to lead the enterprise security operations at more than 820+ sites worldwide. This position is responsible for all security related matters including operations, protection of tangible and intangible assets, and crisis response concerning the safety of employees. The Senior Director of Security Services leads a team of cross-functional experts with accountability to reduce risk and safeguard the enterprise worldwide.
What You Will Do:
- Identify, monitor, address and respond to enterprise level risk/threats while developing and delivering preventative programs and services to protect enterprise personnel and assets
- Set the physical security strategy and employs physical security globally at enterprise locations
- Provide leadership and work daily with security personnel across Caterpillar enterprise
- Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes and strategies across all operating units to reduce security-related risks
- Lead response to incidents, limit exposure to liability or regulatory compliance, and reduce the financial loss
- Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of security policies, standards, guidelines, and programs globally
- Design and implement strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of assets
- Establish appropriate standards and risk controls associated with physical security, key employee security, access controls and workplace violence at the regional and facility level
- Coordinate and implement site security operations to ensure the safety of all employees and the protection of information assets
- Research and deploy technical solutions to safeguard corporate assets and employees
- Coordinate and manage preventive programs and services to protect against business disruptions in a cost-effective manner
- Provide briefings to Global Security leadership on the status of security issues impacting operations and integrate into the business unit’s operations within the geographic region
- Anticipate process partner needs and provide high priority to satisfaction and service
- Develop collaborative relationships with business units; enhances local, state, federal Law Enforcement and worldwide security relationships
- Provide expertise, technical guidance, and training to ensure effective security services are carried out with sensitivity to country and cultural variety
- Partner with Global Security Crisis management, and Facility Security Managers to supplement a robust crisis management process and work with agencies to develop business contingency continuity plans for emergencies
- Retain responsibility/oversight of the enterprise workplace violence prevention and response program. Increase Security’s brand internal to the company, and drive employee awareness throughout the business and beyond
- Consult on annual enterprise security risk assessment and other Chief Security Officer initiatives in Global Security, Global Investigations and Global Intelligence
- Support the activation of the Crisis Management Center and documented roles within the Global Crisis Management Plan. Liaison with enterprise personnel to coordinate communication efforts during security breaches and other crises
- Work with Internal Audit to ensure critical processes and required facility level planning is assessed as needed in audit cycles
- Direct emergency and non-emergency security system monitoring, event dispatch, and emergency notification services
- Establish technical specification and contributing information and analysis to organizational strategic plans and reviews
- Provide supervision and leadership to staff
- Oversee training activities to achieve the highest levels of team operational readiness
- Support enterprise international traveler and High-Risk travelers’ program
