Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Activity Security Representative I to join our team at Ellsworth AFB, SD.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide day-to-day security in support of SCIF & SAP construction efforts.
- Conduct security construction inspections as part of the secure construction build. Some of the areas for inspection require wearing a "fall harness" attached to safety lines.
- Must climb ladders and scaffolding to access secure construction Inspectable Areas.
- Assesses, identifies, and communicates recommendations for improvement of policies, procedures, and systems.
- Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks to the Controlled Construction Areas.
- Draft security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including senior military leaders.
- Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customers Standard Operation Procedures.
- Assist in maintaining personnel security files for all personnel of the supported element.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
Basic qualifications
• 1 – 2 years related experience
• Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years exp.
• Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience
• Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years
Education
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
Security Clearance Requirements:
• Current Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain TS/SCI
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
• Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
Learning and Development:
Within the first 30 days must complete the follow training thru CDSE. Continuous training as needed is provided to all employees as warranted or identified by the customer, (e.g. USACE Fall Training, Secure Construction Inspection Criteria)

- Electronic Security Systems
- Physical Security Measures
- Storage Containers and Facilities
- Physical Security Planning and Implementation
- Supply Chain Threat Awareness
- Special Access Program Security Annual Refresher
- US ARMY Corp of Engineer, USEACE ICD 705 Secure Construction Course
- ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP
Shift Work:
- 6 Days a week shift work
Physical Requirements
- Ability to be on feet 5-8 hours a day.
- Ability to be outside year-round, including in extremely cold weather.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding wearing a “fall harness.”
- Ability to perform visual inspection of construction site.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers.
