Northrop Grumman Mission System (NGMS) is looking for a Program Manager 2 to support the Processing Capabilities Maturation and Deployment Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD. The department has responsibility for the maturation of hardware, firmware, and software building blocks in the Processing domain. 

What You'll Get to Do:

The selected candidate will be responsible for the execution of programs within the CMAD Processing Core Technology Base that meet schedule and stakeholder requirements. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and collaborative people skills with the proven ability to work within a technically dynamic, high-growth, and fast-paced operating unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the Front-End Controls Building Block Line, spanning Software, Firmware and Hardware disciplines

  • Support program reviews with stakeholders

  • Interface with stakeholders for program activities. Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to refine and shape future opportunities

  • Identify, allocate and manage multiple program resources, including NCTA and contract funding

  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks and opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, master’s degree with 6+ years, or PhD and 4+ years of direct experience supporting Government proposals, contracts, and/or project management.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, rapid development environment, managing multiple concurrent priorities with changing requirements while meeting deliverable deadlines.

  • Proven experience leading project or technical tasks to completion on schedule, and withing cost, with documented achievement of scope, schedule, and performance requirements.

  • Hands-on experience with applying Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) integrated with Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and metrics.  

  • Proficiency using Atlassian tools, including JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc., for task tracking, documentation, and collaboration across cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in embedded systems, including sensor processing software and firmware, supporting research, development, integration, and operational environments.

  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed schedules, independently plan work activities, and track progress against established milestones. 

  • Experience translating executive and stakeholder objectives into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, and deliverables aligned with sector or program goals
