About the role

Overview

USU is currently hiring non-benefited teachers to provide clinical instruction to USU nursing students. Positions are currently open in Blanding. This is an ACA Variable position.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course with measurable objectives for each clinical course taught.
  • Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in clinical and/or simulation lab settings.
  • Evaluates learning.
  • Maintains and submits student evaluations and records.
  • Counsels students as needed.
  • Assists nursing program in maintaining an effective program.
  • Maintains safe clinical conditions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program, BSN preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Utah (or eligible to obtain Utah licensure).
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

    Advertised Salary

    $40.00 per hour

    Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
