This is a non-union positionWould you like to maintain the safe operation of company pipelines, perform high value, high risk, work associated with routine pipeline maintenance and open system work on all mainline piping, terminal, and station facilities. Provide response to emergencies along the Enbridge pipeline corridor. Comply with all applicable regulations along with ensuring the protection of the environment in performing maintenance tasks? What You Will Do:
Conducting emergency one-calls, line locates, and monitoring onsite excavation performed by a third-party
Maintaining Pipeline Right of Way, Pipeline Markers and Signs, monitoring installation of pipeline crossings
Inspecting, Operating and Maintaining Valves, Inspecting buried pipe, launching and receiving pigging tools
Perform all types of applicable pipeline maintenance and repair (e.g. emergency repair, stopple, etc.) using appropriate Company procedures including but not limited to tasks listed in Company manuals.
Become Operator Qualified on all required covered tasks prior to performing work independently and oversee those not qualified when required.
Understand and comply with all safety requirements relative to the performance of pipeline maintenance.
Complete hazard assessments and Issue work permits as required and act as a Company inspector of contract work as required.
Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary
Prepare tickets to account for volumes move to and from pipeline facilities
Understanding the methods of measurements used for custody transfer and the use of positive displacement meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters, and solids handling measurement
Performing loss/gain analysis and Investigate instances of mis-measurement; computing adjustments
Providing input/suggestions into development of measurement standards
Review proving factors, flow computer and LC computations, data transmission, and SCADA computations
Scheduling calibrations, inspections, audits, and other related activities
Participating as witness to all company and third-party prover water draws
Maintain facilities in clean condition free from spills. Eliminating, containing and reporting any and all product and/or crude leaks, seeps and spills
Responding to emergencies and assisting in maintaining emergency equipment
Provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair and cleanup as well as emergency preventative actions relating to abnormal right-of-way conditions to avert any possible incident.
Alcohol free on-call rotation for the area of responsibility
Perform any additional tasks as requested by Supervisor.
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years minimum of previous experience
Basic understanding and use of computers
Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record.
DOT Medical Certification Card or eligibility to obtain.
Should live within 45 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.
Preferred:
Experience in operations or maintenance for a crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facility preferred.
Working Conditions:
Field and office environment with regularly scheduled travel and at times overnight stays.
Frequent travel along the pipeline right of way and to construction sites.
Over time and flexibility when required to manage multiple projects, emergency response operations, adverse weather conditions, work priorities, fieldwork schedules, and out of town travel.
