Automotive Lab Technician-Part Time

The PT AUTO technician is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the AUTO lab and to provide instructional support services in that location. The Technician will help maintain a safe clean work environment and assist students with activities to strengthen skills.

Assist and manage lab activities for students who utilize the lab equipment.

Provide strong customer service and/or student advocacy in the AUTO lab.

Monitor, maintain, and manage security of the lab equipment.

Provide instructional support for students who utilize the AUTO lab.

Prepares materials for class work and labs.

Perform maintenance of inventory of supplies and equipment.

Direct, manage, and train part time lab assistants.

Collect and track relevant information, as needed.

Use computer applications to assist with tracking relevant student information, entering records on Banner and other systems, key-in reports, etc.

Maintains confidentiality and conducts all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Performs other duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.

Associate degree in AUTO technology or any combination of equivalent work experience required. Hold relevant certification. Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Access and Outlook required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
