Position Summary

This role will be an integral part of a team developing end-to-end solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of pipeline and franchise product planning. The role has three main areas of responsibility:

  • Data Science / AI (DS/AI) Development & Portfolio Team Strategy and Process: Lead workstreams to shape the strategic direction of the team, drive the successful implementation of initiatives across the DS/AI Development and Portfolio team, and spearhead initiatives that integrate across BIA.
  • Forecasting and Integration: Develop the strategy for revenue forecasting analytics solutions (including impact assessment, prioritization, and buy-vs-build decisions), while also managing development and delivery of key projects (e.g. project management, stakeholder management, managing team development goals, etc.)
  • Clinical Trial Execution and Medical Analytics: Support strategy development and project delivery on an ad-hoc basis (similar to forecasting and integration responsibilities above)

     

Key Responsibilities
 

Group Strategy:

  • Work with the group VP to shape the remit, mission, vision and operating model of the broader group.
  • Support the group VP with ongoing team management including internal group communication, cross-functional collaboration, and articulation of the group's impact to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with Leads of other group verticals on solution synergy and integration.

Forecasting, Clinical Trial Operations, and Medical Analytics:

  • Support the vertical leads in defining team goals, establishing priorities, and managing resources effectively to meet project milestones and deliverables.
  • Work with the vertical leads to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
  • Lead communications with external vendors (if needed) to define scope and manage consultants involved in solution development and implementation.

Solution Design and Development:

  • Lead interactions with stakeholders, including cross-functional teams from forecasting, finance, clinical development, and medical, to understand business requirements and define the scope of the end-to-end solution.
  • Advise on the design and architecture of the integrated solution, ensuring scalability, reliability, and fit-for-purpose to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Advise on the development of algorithms and models that integrate revenue forecasting, clinical trial execution efficiency, and risk assessment components.

Leadership:

  • Manage developers, forecast modelers and consultants by setting goals aligned to the team strategy, supervising the timing and quality of deliverables, and facilitating their learning and development. Team members will be based in US and India (Hyderabad).
  • Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring timely execution and adherence to timelines and budget.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement to identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies associated with the development and deployment of the integrated solution.


Qualifications & Experience
 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering or equivalent experience in business
  • 7+ years of experience in project, people, and stakeholder management (consulting experience is a plus)
  • Strong written communication, proficiency with Powerpoint is required
  • Strong analytical background: proficiency in Excel required, experience with R, Python, SQL, or similar is a plus
  • Prior experience in influencing organizational or business decisions through analytics
