Senior Database Administrator

We are looking to hire a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic engineering team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for managing RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, optimizing performance, implementing replication and high availability, and providing support to development teams. Troubleshooting and problem-solving will be a key part of your role. Our preference is for the chosen candidate to be located in Raleigh, North Carolina. However, we can hire in CA, TX and WA for the best suited, top-tier candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Handle performance tuning
• Implement and manage replication, high availability, partitioning /sharding
• Assist development teams in creating, optimizing, and problem solve with RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
• Troubleshoot issues

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• IT Professional certification in MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB; Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDBFamiliarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
• Strong command of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
• Proficiency in Linux
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher|
A plus if:
• Experience with Python or Bash scripting
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tooling
