We’re looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join our team of humble “misfits that fit”. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Procurify is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join and lead our Spend Insights team. This team helps our customers confidently make value driven financial decisions and works closely with our data engineering team to deliver data-driven solutions. In this role, you will lead a team of Software engineers and act as a technical leader for the team’s business domain. You will work closely with our Director of Engineering to nurture technical leadership and grow the highly engaged members of the team.

Procurify just secured a series C round of funding and we are growing to serve new customers, in new industries, all over the world. This role is instrumental in helping Procurify realize its intelligent spend management vision and delivering products that delight our customers. 

What you’ll be working on

• Manage a team of 4-6 engineers, coaching them in areas of technical excellence and supporting their career growth. Maintain and improve a culture of deep collaboration and high trust on the team. 
• Lead your team to successfully and predictably deliver goals and priorities, define success metrics, track your team’s progress, and communicate risks and successes to stakeholders.
• Represent the technical output of your team and ensure technical designs follow relevant design patterns, are architecturally sound, and adhere to secure coding practices by leveraging your personal experience as a software engineer.
• Work in close partnership with the Spend Insight team’s Product Manager and Product Designer forming the core triad of the team. 
• Collaborate with our data engineering team and other cross-functional teams to align on requirements and implement high quality software solutions.
• Understand your team’s practices and processes, propose and experiment with potential improvements, and share your experience with others.

Who we’re looking for 

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, including mentoring other engineers.
• Experience building reliable and scalable SaaS software solutions with a team of software engineers, using technologies such as ReactJS, Typescript, Docker, Python/Django, NodeJS, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience building embedded analytics products using technologies like Databricks, and Thoughtspot
• Experience applying and promoting agile and software delivery best practices such as scrum/kanban, CI/CD, test automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Driven to lead with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
• Excellent teamwork and communication with Software Engineers, peers, leadership, and others in the organization with less technical backgrounds.
• Leads with compassion and empathy for others putting the people on your team first.
