Staff Assistant OPS

Department of Children and Families

Miami, Florida

 

THIS IS NOT A TELEWORK POSITION. CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK IN THE OFFICE. 

Location: 401 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33128

This advertisement will be used to hire and fill Other Personal Services (OPS) positions.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday.

Salary: $16.71 per hour.

Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy. 

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of secretarial or clerical work experience required.
    • College education from an accredtited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
    • Vocational/technical training in the area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required work experience.
    • A high school diploma or its equivalent can substitute for one year of the required work experience.

 

Preferences:

  • Experience, education or training in recruitment and selection activities.
  • Knowledge of Department of Children & Families’ services related to child welfare, adult protection, economic self-sufficiency programs, or mental health treatment facilities direct care.
