Logistician/General Equipment Analyst (USN/DoD)

Typical responsibilities include:
- Review, maintain, and update General Equipment (GE) asset inventory across various systems including:
- General Equipment Action Request System (GEARS).
- Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP).
- Material Management Tracking System (MMTS).
- Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS).
- NAVSEA Warfare Center Inventory Management/Warehouse Management (IM/WM) System.
- SharePoint inventory lists.
- Collect, enter and maintain GE planning data.
- Generate material and service requests.
- Collect and maintain project planning and GE summarized data.
- Confirm physical inventories, identify discrepancies, and submit correction recommendations.
- Provide associated process improvement recommendations.
- Support GE asset transfer processes including generating Material Transfer Requests (MTR), Transportation Requests (TR), using the Warehouse Action Request Process (WARP), and generating shipping and receiving documentation.
Location: Full time onsite at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) in Middletown, RI.
Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.
Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.
- A candidate with especially strong, relevant experience but no current clearance may be considered, but a new clearance must be obtained prior to hire.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of professional experience supporting General Equipment (GE) control U.S. Navy/DoD environments.
- Experience using NUWC, Navy, and DOD systems including:
- General Equipment Action Request System (GEARS).
- Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (Navy ERP).
- Experience managing and analyzing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Proficiency with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communications and organizational skills.
Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Five to ten (5-10) years of Operations Research Analysis.
- Experience using NUWC, Navy, and DOD systems including:
- Material Management Tracking System (MMTS).
- Base Inventory Tracking System (BITS).
- NAVSEA Warfare Center Inventory Management/Warehouse Management (IM/WM) System.
