Summary:
An exciting opportunity has developed for an experienced Senior Lawyer with developed Family Law experience to join our successful and growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients in various industries. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the law and be able to provide sound legal advice to clients.
The position is based primarily in our Parramatta office, working in stunning new offices conveniently located near Parramatta Train Station, environment boasts glass walls allowing ample natural light, impressive board, and meetings rooms, lots of break out spaces, open plan seating and hybrid working arrangements. The role will require you to work from our Sydney office from time to time depending on the client’s requirements or court needs.
There is an abundance of support and expertise available within our organisation. Working alongside our Directors of considerable skill, you will undertake a vast range of family law work. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced lawyer with family law experience and a passion for this area of law, to develop their skills and become a specialist in the family law arena. The Position

Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. Exceptional family law experience, ideally with specialist accreditation;
2. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
3. Proven capability of managing and supervising staff;
4. Strong advocacy, negotiation and client management skills;
5. Understanding and meeting financial management requirements of files;
6. Day-to-day carriage of files across all types of family law matters i.e. have exposure to broad spectrum of complex family law work including:
- Property & Financial Disputes;
- Children & Parenting Disputes;
- Divorce Applications;
- De Facto Relationship matters;
- Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders;
- Child Support matters; and
- Financial Agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure that clients are informed of their legal rights and obligations
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and arbitrations
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on legal issues related to their circumstance
- Keep up-to-date with changes in the law and advise clients accordingly
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
In addition, you will possess:
7. A Bachelor of Laws and hold a current practising certificate with a minimum of 10 years’ post qualified experience;
8. Experience working in Local, District, Federal and Family Courts of Australia;
