Position Specific Description
Business Analyst Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with Development to gather all customer bills and complete the initial utility credit allocation form for each project prior to COD
- Complete initial compliance work as it relates to the project to ensure, the project is set-up correctly with the utility
- Liaise with the project developer to ensure all data needed for provisioning to the utility is captured and correct
- Enroll projects in net credit billing
- Manage allocations, if needed, prior to COD
- Provide customer service to C/I customer as customer “ramps up”
- Support analytics for Community Solar group (allocations, auditing ESCOs, etc)
- Verify/Validate ESCO billing
- Provide support for reporting performance to Accounting, E&C, Origination, etc.
- Manage and perform any ongoing credit allocation/re-allocation between customer bills to ensure that maximum bill credits are utilized and monetized
- Reconcile bill credit allocation with actual payment
- Complete on-going community solar compliance tasks for each project
- Provide customer service for customer inquiries
- Audit utility allocations against allocations submitted
Job Overview
Employees in this role support the overall P and L management of one or more NextEra generating assets. Individuals review findings to be presented to senior management. This position supports budgeting and forecasting, analyzing P and L variance, participating in ad hoc and special projects and coordinates with other business units regarding initiatives.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Completes complex financial, operational, or technical project analysis
- Conducts analyses regarding issues that have an impact on the operation of a specific functional area and makes recommendations to management
- Leads medium to large project teams that support informed decision making within the business unit
- Maintains project schedules and reviews team member input and documents for technical accuracy
- Performs ad hoc projects, report development, modeling, and other miscellaneous projects
- Oversees discretionary capital improvement or restructuring projects for generating assets
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 4+ years
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Master's - Business Administration
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
