Your responsibilities
You will join a group of highly motivated and professional colleagues in the marketing team. You will be heading up the Merrild brand team and work closely together with the Brand Manager supporting you on the Merrild brand.
You will be developing the brand strategy as well as designing the action plans in order to carry out the brand strategy. You will be the one leading the brand to its fullest potential – across categories, with help from your colleagues in the brand team and within the marketing department, as well as in close cooperation with colleagues from other departments.
Specific areas of responsibility
- Overall responsibility for Merrild brand performance according to targets – delivering results through stakeholder management and team leadership ensuring a motivated and engaged brand team
- Building of an effective brand business through an insights-based approach balancing the consumer, shopper and customer perspectives
- Acting as brand owner, managing the brand agenda internally, and constantly seeking to improve the brand P&L through initiatives across all areas e.g. product mix, pricing, supply chain etc., and initiates corrective actions, incl. short term, when needed. short term, when needed
- Responsibility for creating comprehensive annual brand plans that meet established goals, informed by your strategic vision for long-term brand development
- Together with the Senior Marketing Manager and Global Marketing continuously ensuring the optimal innovation pipeline making sure we have the right NPD level short and long term
- Partnering with agencies to develop compelling creative ideas and engagement platforms with the strongest 360-degree channel activation plan
- Building of cost efficient and impactful media strategies/–plans effectively targeting the target group, in cooperation with the media agency
- Development of sales promotion program, related objectives and activations – at a national and at store level
- Monitoring the brand's performance and evaluating the impact of initiatives while advising on corrective actions to improve results
- Ensuring the right consumer insights through research activities, together with our Research Manager, in order to build the possible plans, campaigns and activation
- Makes optimal and effective use of the budget available – based on a clear ROI mindset
- Daily management of the Merrild brand team consisting of the Brand Manager
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in both strategic and tactical brand management with a solid commercial focus and comprehension
- Advanced analytical skills making you able to digest insights from various sources and derive proposed key actions
- Proficient skills in big idea development and the building of efficient and impactful communication solutions delivering a compelling message to the target audience
- Effective project management skills that enable you to lead essential projects while providing high-quality solutions in a timely manner and at the agreed price
- Good co-operational skills – you enjoy interacting with- and working close together with external agencies colleagues locally and abroad as well as different departments to create best in class solution.
- Positive problem-solving mindset
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbally in Danish and English
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with Nielsen market data, GfK panel data, and similar resources.
Background
You hold a commercial or business-oriented degree at master’s level. You have 5-7 years marketing experience from another consumer-oriented company in FMCG.
You are highly experienced in terms of developing and launching new concepts and product – and you have a deep knowledge about the processes and cycles within FMCG marketing, where you work both at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.
