Job Description
WireCo is seeking a motivated and passionate Human Resources Intern to join our team at the Corporate Headquarters in Prairie Village, KS. This is an opportunity for a student to gain valuable experience in the Human Resources field at a global manufacturing company. The HR Intern will be responsible for assisting with recruitment efforts, sourcing candidates, and providing administrative support to the Talent Acquisition team. The intern will also get exposure to other areas of HR such as HR operations, compensation, talent development, and more! The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, a strong interest in Human Resources, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within our team.
This is a paid 40 hours per week internship beginning mid-May 2023 to Mid-August 2023. Candidates will also receive a monthly housing stipend.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment efforts including reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, and communicating with candidates to keep them informed on the hiring process.
- Research and recommend innovative ways to attract applicants to WireCo job postings (social media, job description language, etc).
- Provide support to the broader HR team including HR Operations, business partnership, and talent development.
Qualifications
Education and/or Professional Certification Requirements
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum Completion of the equivalent of sophomore year of course work
Experience and Skill Requirements
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Additional Information:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background.
- Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
