Role Summary/Purpose:

As a database architect, you’ll be architecting, designing secured database for Microservices, MFE’s, API’s and also responsible for high performance and secured migrations from on-prem to AWS Cloud adhering to strict governance process. Need to think above and beyond databases how we can enable engineers to build high performance and multi-terabyte databases.

Essential Responsibilities:    

  • Design and Implementation: Architect and implement scalable, high-availability infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. 

  • Migrations: Architect, design and execute homogeneous and heterogenous database migrations from on-prem to AWS 

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/cloudbees CI to automate deployment processes. 

  • Infrastructure as Code: Utilize tools like Terraform to manage infrastructure as code (IaC) and ensure consistency across environments. 

  • Automation: Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python/Shell/Lambda to enhance operational efficiency. 

  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Newrelic and other tools to ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of applications. 

  • Security and Compliance: Strong knowledge on AWS IAM and apply security best practices to safeguard cloud environments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. 

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and application performance. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate Platform practices and support continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Performance: Identify the performance problems and give solutions for any DB solution. 

  • Agile: Participate in agile sprints including story writing, planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions, reviews and SAFe ceremonies. 

  • API Knowledge: Understand api/microservice architecture and able to participate in the architecture discussions of applications and suggest right database. 

 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 7+Years of experience in Technology with a or in lieu of degree, minimum of 10 years of experience in Technology.  

  • Minimum 7 years of strong Technical Expertise
