In this position you will be responsible for the following:
  • Process employee travel reimbursement requests.
  • Process invoices in the consumer services procurement system (CMS).
  • Complete and forward TD Bank signature card updates as requested.
  • Interact with the Comptroller General's Office, VR employees, and vendors to resolve problems with bill payment, travel issues and reimbursements.
  • Approve documents in AP workflow.
  • Sort and distribute mail to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Issue refunds per policy.
  • Facilitate travel reimbursement guidelines to new employees during new employee orientation.
  • Serve as back up for other Accounts Payable Accounting Technician III positions as needed and additional duties as assigned.
  • Additional duties or projects as assigned. 

Examples of duties

  • A high school diploma and two (2) years of experience in an entry-level accounting or bookkeeping position. 
If invited to interview, please obtain your Official 10 year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you. 

Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping and accounts payable principles and best practices.
  • Good mathematical and computational skills.
  • Ability to perform accounts payable or accounting-related functions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
