Senior Transmission Design & Configuration Engineer

<p><strong>Family Description</strong><br/><br/>Customer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimising, operating, and maintaining phases.<br/><br/><strong>Subfamily Description</strong><br/><br/>Systems Integration (SIN) contains the integration and customization of Nokia solutions and 3rd party platforms to meet customer requirements. Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers customer specific solution and software design, development, implementation, unit testing and verification of hardware, platform, software, and systems including maintenance support.<br/><br/> </p> <ul> <li>Collation of existing customer network solution and associated design and configuration data</li> <li>Complete understanding of provisioning in a transmission network environment</li> <li>Transmission network pre-design and design creation</li> <li>Transmission network build, commissioning and provisioning</li> <li>Work with field engineers to ensure configuration is installed, error free and ready for testing</li> <li>Adherence to network security access policies and procedures</li> <li>Drive all the activities needed to define new service during, if required</li> <li>Cooperation with Process Engineer regarding migration process definition for new projects</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Candidate must have advanced optical networking skills including but not limited to CWDM and DWDM technologies</li> <li>Strong Transmission equipment configuration and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Knowledge of Network Management System suit i.e.: One Control, Preside, Site Manager, ENM, TNM</li> <li>3+ experience in designing Transmission Network solutions</li> <li>Knowledge of transmission equipment such as Infinera TM Series and TG series and Ciena and OME6500 Photonic Layer would be an asset</li> <li>Tx Vendors certifications are a plus</li> <li>Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing</li> <li>Good analytical skills</li> </ul> <p>It would be nice if you also had:</p> <ul> <li>Infinera, Ciena transmission vendors knowledge or certifications<br/> </li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><span>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> </span></b><span><br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
