What’s unique about this role?

The Lighthouse Review Consulting team consists of highly consultative technologists and workflow specialists who utilize review efficiency tools and Lighthouse service offerings to reduce review costs, and shorten review timelines for our clients. Consultants advise on optimal workflow design, and map technologies and processes to drive the most efficient review, based on individual project goals. As part of the Managed Review organization at Lighthouse, Review Consultants gain exposure to Lighthouse’s market-disruptive technologies, and play a vital role in product adoption and workflow standardization.  Additionally, Consultants contribute to overall process improvement initiatives at Lighthouse.

What will this person do?

  • Consult with clients, counsel, and review teams on best practices in review, as well as review optimization and efficiency, including review workflow and application of Lighthouse proprietary tools and processes
  • Maintain an effective understanding of standard eDiscovery tools, processes, and best practices, as well as technical proficiency in all relevant client-facing platforms supported at Lighthouse (Relativity, Brainspace, and Lighthouse proprietary review and analytics tools); including demos and documentation
  • Proactively identify potential pain points in matter workflows, and provide consultation on best practices, along with recommendations to improve and address 
  • Execute project-specific tasks in Relativity where needed, including searching and complex batching, privilege review and logging, and quality control
  • Monitor and manage project communication and workflows, setting proper expectations for scope and deadlines
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Lighthouse standard workflows and critical paths 
  • Establish an excellent working relationship with Lighthouse peers across Service Delivery and assist in creating a collaborative, positive, and uplifting environment
  • Partner with Review Consulting Leadership and Sales to provide ongoing client support and program development, including client-facing presentations and demonstrations
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members
  • Partner with Review Consulting Leadership to define and execute the strategic direction of our tools and processes 
  • Support internal process improvement initiatives as a primary stakeholder for the Review Consulting team, to include developing workflow documentation and training
  • Perform other related duties assigned

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required; JD preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of eDiscovery industry experience required, within a law firm, consultancy, or eDiscovery service provider as a Project Manager or Review Manager, or in an analytics or workflow consultation capacity
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working or consulting on large-scale or complex eDiscovery matter(s), with Second Request or Multi-District Litigation experience required 
  • Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) or other Relativity certifications strongly preferred, but not required upon hire
  • Strong working knowledge of Nuix, Brainspace, TAR, and Analytics processes 
  • Ability to earn new certifications in-house and with Lighthouse affiliated services.
  • Excellent communication skills, organization, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Practical knowledge and experience with litigation eDiscovery process and objectives, and review workflow best practices 
  • Experience with eDiscovery technologies including Nuix, Brainspace, and Relativity, with Relativity certifications, especially Relativity Certified Administrators (RCA), strongly preferred, though not required
  • Experience consulting with clients on workflow design based on project goals, making recommendations based on best practices and technological capabilities
  • Strong analytical and logical skills, and technical aptitude
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, including ability to troubleshoot complex scenarios, and solve problems in situations where limited information or standards exist
