Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an Environmental Planner specializing in the assessment and permitting of energy facilities, with a focus on renewable energy, electric transmission, and other energy facilities for immediate employment within the Texas area. The primary work location is Dallas, TX, but with AECOM offices throughout the State, will consider excellent candidates interested in our other office locations (i.e., Austin or Houston) or remote work.
The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM specialists across the U.S. (Virtual Texas only) The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
- Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
- Usually performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws.
- Oversees specialized planning functions, such as large-scale new development proposals and environmental studies.
- Provides overall management of IE-related planning issues.
- Advises the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.
- Advises various councils, boards, commissions and elected officials in planning related issues.
- Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.
- Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.
