Job Summary
The Residential Program Support Supervisor provides coverage and leadership support to assigned residential homes during staff leave, vacancies, or other temporary needs. This role ensures continuity of services, regulatory compliance, and quality support for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a qualified interdisciplinary team leader, the Residential Program Support Supervisor is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of person-centered plans, training and coaching staff, and maintaining high standards of care and administration across multiple sites.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
Consumer Services
- Serve as the interim QIDP/Administrator for assigned homes to ensure uninterrupted support and services.
- Lead the Interdisciplinary Team and develop Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Participate in preadmission interviews and transition planning.
- Identify consumer needs, strengths, and interests to design person-centered supports.
- Ensure follow-through on all ID Team decisions and program implementation.
- Monitor program effectiveness, document progress, and revise as needed.
- Act as liaison with families, schools, day programs, consultants, and community partners.
- Advocate for consumer rights and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Training and Support
- Provide coaching and hands-on support to Residential Supervisors and direct care staff.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new staff at assigned homes.
- Support consistent use of electronic systems (e.g., Therap, QuickMAR) for care documentation and compliance.
- Reinforce agency policies, emergency procedures, and best practices across sites.
- Assist in developing and delivering in-service and situational training during assignments.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Conduct internal audits at assigned sites including in-home documentation, medication logs, and physical environment reviews.
- Support homes during licensing inspections, audits, and follow-up actions.
- Review and update ISPs, incident reports, and consumer records to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of CCL, ICF, Title 17, Title 22, and other applicable standards.
Administrative Duties
- Manage and monitor staffing schedules, shift coverage, and operational needs while assigned to each home.
- Complete agency documentation accurately and on time.
- Attend and participate in agency meetings and trainings.
- Support the completion of monthly reports and budget reviews as needed.
- Maintain availability by phone when on assignment and during emergency coverage needs.
Communication
- Maintain open and professional communication with ID Team members, families, vendors, and agency leadership.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in consumer records and agency systems.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Other Duties
- Provide administrative support during QIDP vacancies or transitions.
- Participate in special projects or task forces as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the AVP of Residential Services.
