ABOUT THE JOB

Reporting to our Finance Director for the Netherlands and Belgium, the Financial Controller Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily financial processes with a strong focus on detail, accuracy and precision. Working hybridly from the Amstelveen or Leuven office, responsibilities will include tasks for the entities in the Netherlands and Belgium.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the financial and business controllers

• Collaborating with the offshore accounting team

• Performing daily reconciliations and checks on the processing of accounts payable invoices into purchase orders

• Supporting the month-end closing process within set deadlines

• Performing general account reconciliations

• Processing payments within expected deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

- A good foundation through relevant education or experience
- A bachelor's degree in Economics/Administration is not a requirement, but can be a good stepping stone if you are pursuing a career in Finance and Accounting
- Good working knowledge of SAP and Excel
- Ability to accurately perform a variety of administrative tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of self-discipline
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Organized and methodical approach to tasks
- Demonstrate responsibility for both own and team tasks
- Dutch and English, French is not necessary
