ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to our Finance Director for the Netherlands and Belgium, the Financial Controller Assistant plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily financial processes with a strong focus on detail, accuracy and precision. Working hybridly from the Amstelveen or Leuven office, responsibilities will include tasks for the entities in the Netherlands and Belgium.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the financial and business controllers
Collaborating with the offshore accounting team
Performing daily reconciliations and checks on the processing of accounts payable invoices into purchase orders
Supporting the month-end closing process within set deadlines
Performing general account reconciliations
Processing payments within expected deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS
- A good foundation through relevant education or experience
- A bachelor's degree in Economics/Administration is not a requirement, but can be a good stepping stone if you are pursuing a career in Finance and Accounting
- Good working knowledge of SAP and Excel
- Ability to accurately perform a variety of administrative tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of self-discipline
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Organized and methodical approach to tasks
- Demonstrate responsibility for both own and team tasks
- Dutch and English, French is not necessary
