Position Details: 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support to our in-house and virtual healthcare providers. This role will focus on ensuring a smooth deliver of patient care and efficient operation of healthcare services. As a medical assistant working with the company, you will assist with medical procedures, patient assessments, documentation, vital monitoring, and care coordination for residents within the facilities. 

Responsibilities: 

• Clinical Support: 
  • Assist the NP with routine exams, assessments, and procedures 
  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate) ○ Prepare residents for examinations and treatments
  • Assist with wound care, injections, and specimen collection
  • Assist in emergency interventions, including alerting relevant medical personnel and ○ preparing necessary equipment
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to adjust care plans based on monitored data
• Facilitate telehealth visits with providers, as needed 
  • Patient Care & Assistance: 
  • Help residents with mobility and comfort before and after medical procedures ○ Communicate with residents and families regarding care plans and instructions ○ Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the NP 

• Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate medical records and update electronic health systems
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals with specialists
  • Manage medical supplies and ensure the availability of necessary equipment ○ Handle insurance forms, billing codes, and documentation as needed 

• Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with nurses, caregivers, and therapists to ensure continuity of care ○ Assist in educating residents and families on health management
  • Ensure compliance with nursing home policies, safety protocols, and healthcare regulations
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on proper monitoring techniques and equipment usage 

• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines and facility protocols related to resident monitoring ○ Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance monitoring and intervention processes

Qualifications 

• Certified Medical Assistant 
• Experience in geriatrics or long-term care settings is a plus 
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and EHR, proficiency in using monitoring equipment
• Ability to travel to different facilities.

Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.00 an hour
