Principal Technical Program Manager - Software Development LifeCycle

As a Technical Program Manager for SDLC, you will build cross-team technical programs to improve our Software development life cycle, from coding, debugging, testing to deployment experiences. You will improve engineering efforts such as developing a set of productivity tooling that help Roblox engineers to develop, test, debug and deploy software. You will be coming on in an early part of our team, with the opportunity to make huge impacts for all of Roblox.

You will:

• Improve coding experience and code quality for Roblox Engineers
• Build and rollout CI/CD workflow within Roblox
• Support all programming languages used in Roblox
• Identify problems, build programs to improve engineering design, and development practice for Roblox
• Define problem space, collect user requirements, lead engineering teams to plan and ship productivity tools for all of Roblox.
• Balance efficiency, performance, and priorities based on impact to the community and our long-term goals
• Align senior leadership and important partners around program roadmap
• Manage an array of programs end to end, focusing on what is best for long-term success
• Unblock teams and allow them to stay true to top priorities
• Ensure engineering teams to reliably manage all project phases
• Effectively use data-driven approach to inform teams' direction
• Manage dependencies across teams and components
• Own measurement of success of programs

You have:

• A technical leader with domain expertise in software engineering and DevOps
• 7+ years experience in software development life cycle
• Experience developing Eng productivity tooling
• Experience with CI/CD in DevOps.
• Experience building programs to improve coding experiences, including programming language support
• Experienced with establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams
• Experienced with identifying important technical problems and opportunities
• Data-driven thinker who is capable of conveying ideas through detailed specs
• Experienced with creating end to end technical programs through effective roadmapping and reliable execution
• Turn specific solutions into systems that benefit larger community in the long run
• Able to work effectively in a fast pace environment with competing resources and priorities
• Knowledgeable about user needs, scoping, planning, execution and delivery
• Communicate on both technical and program sides
• Flexible around process, using process as a tool when it makes sense for a team

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.Annual Salary Range$299,530—$367,550 USD
