Shift is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 8:00am - 4:00pm; Saturday & Sunday from Midnight - 8:00am; Rest days are Thursday/Friday.

Job Summary

This person will be required to work in a lockdown facility due to the high value of the inventory.

Essential Functions

Must be capable of multi-tasking and meeting assigned deadlines.
Must have the ability to learn and understand the functioning of the SAP inventory system and inventory control techniques.
Must have a valid driver’s license to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
Must complete DOT Hazmat training/certification on schedule as determined by supervisor.
Must complete DOT forklift training/certification on schedule as determined by supervisor.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must comply with Amtrak’s Standards of Excellence, safety rules and all other policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
Warehouse forklift, electric pallet jacks, shipping and receiving tools including crimpers.
General warehouse materials receiving, stocking and packaging procedure

Preferred Qualifications

Amtrak Material Control Department experience.
Experience with SAP Warehouse Management Software application.
Experience in a lock down material warehouse facility

Communications and Interpersonal Skills

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

The hourly range is $27.62 – $36.83 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
