WSP is seeking a Part-Time, On-Call Senior Geologist with 12 or more years environmental industry experience to join our Pacific Northwest Site Investigation & Remediation Team.  We offer flexible working arrangements to help with work/life balance. This position is in  Redmond, WA.

WSP’s Pacific Northwest Site Investigation & Remediation Team offers environmental remediation and related services to a diverse set of clients, including industrial/commercial companies, local and state agencies, and the federal government. Project locations are local, regional, and nationwide. We have in-house experts in chemistry, risk assessment, data management, graphics/GIS, engineering, and industrial hygiene who support projects in the Pacific Northwest and many other locations, and have access to subject matter experts worldwide.  The position requires a self-motivated candidate able to work as part of local, regional, and national project teams.

Your Impact

  • Provide leadership to guide project teams as they solve problems and develop solutions for our clients.  
  • Advise teams providing environmental consulting services to commercial and government clients, and may fill roles of local subject matter expert and primary contributor on targeted and highly complex tasks, or serve as Task or Project Manager. 
  • Work on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, with substantial emphasis on soil, soil vapor/gas, groundwater, surface water, sediment and stormwater investigation and remediation; chemical fate and transport assessment; risk assessment; development of conceptual site models; hazardous waste management; permitting; and site planning. 
  • Possess knowledge of Washington and Federal environmental regulations.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. or higher in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related discipline
  • 12 or more years of post-education environmental industry experience
  • Professional registration in Oregon or Washington (preferably both) if a Geologist/Hydrogeologist
  • Experience working with both government and private sector clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Consistent and highly accurate project work
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
  • Comfortable working within both small and large project teams to achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated environmental industry leadership experience through professional organizations and/or industry-focused working groups
  • Ability to work in industrial and field environments as well as in the office
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook, in particular
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Compensation:

Expected Salary: $144,800 - $210,600
