It has now been over 30 years that comprehensive CS Group solutions for space systems and applications, both on the ground and in space, have been part and parcel of this odyssey.</p><p>Our German activities are growing at a fast pace and to face our customers' high level expectations and needs, we are looking for talented profiles with relevant experience in Space systems and applications<em>.</em></p><ul></ul><h3>Job Description</h3><p>In support of ESOC’s ground segment engineering tasks, you will have the following responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Support to introduction of 2nd generation photonics-based frequency and timing distribution system for ESTRACK;</li><li>Supervision of the frequency and timing distribution system of ESTRACK (1st and 2nd generation);</li><li>Supervision of the UTC ESOC time realisation and associated systems;</li><li>Support to photonics technology development for RF ground systems;</li><li>Support to ground station developments: a. definition of technical specifications and statement of works;</li><li>Participation to procurement tender evaluation boards in the role of technical expert;</li><li>Design reviews, factory and site acceptance tests;</li><li>Support to technology development activities:<ul><li>Definition of requirements;</li><li>Preliminary prototype and bread boarding activities;</li><li>Technical evaluation of achievements;</li></ul></li><li>Support to preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance;</li><li>Support to operations during critical phases.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:</p><ul><li>Master’s in engineering, Physics or similar relevant field;</li><li>Hands-on experience in similar positions;</li><li>Experience in ground station equipment handling;</li><li>Experience in Frequency and Timing systems;</li><li>Experience in technology development activities;</li><li>Knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards;</li><li>Participation in Ground Station systems and subsystems related meetings;</li><li>Knowledge and experience in data communication systems involving e.g. modulation, demodulation, PCM telemetry and telecommand, communication protocols (TCP/IP, SLE), coding techniques, data processing;</li><li>Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Deadline to apply: </strong>12th March 2023</p><p><strong>Possible starting date: </strong>As soon as possible</p>
