SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the installation, support and administration of the SMS- Systems Management server. Maintain system backups, implement automation of software installs, and maintain hardware and software inventory.
• Develops and documents standards for use, controls, updating, and maintenance of the SMS server. Analyzing hardware performance and capability, upgrading SMS System software, NT server software and ensuring anti-virus system software is updated as required.
• This position will be responsible for providing highly technical computer systems support for various locations throughout the region.  Incumbent will be involved in the analysis, development, design and implementation of distributed systems, local area networks, and LAN and data communications connectivity.
• Prepares system plans, which include network utilization, storage capacity monitoring and submitting reports for recommendations to improve network performance and reliability.  Recommends priorities for system development.
• Install, configure network servers, personal computers, and associated peripherals.  Provide specialized technical assistance in resolving complex computer systems and data communications problems to the field Distributed Computer Systems Analyst.  Provide user training as required.
• Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience with BackupExec. – Education Required.
• Must be currently employed with the Florida Department of Corrections.
