This position is the first point of contact for clients who have concerns or questions regarding costume products. They partner with clients across the enterprise to resolve concerns and communicate outcomes. This role will also lead all aspects of product quality as it comes out of manufacturing to ensure that it meets quality standards.
The Quality Assurance Manager will report to the Area Manager of Character Client Relations.
This is a temporary role with no guarantee of permanent placement.
You will:
Accountable for reporting on the quality of all costume products from all vendors either on-site at vendor facilities or in-house
Identify, track, and resolve quality issues
Develop & maintain quality standards & metrics
Lead brainstorming sessions for issue resolution
Work with clients from all over the world
Work with Costumers, Buyers, Designers, Costuming Leaders, and other partners external to the department
Complete cost analysis and articulate return on investment
Communicate issues, resolution plans, and outcomes to a wide audience of clients
Cultivate open partnerships with all product partners.
Mentor and give feedback with a focus on product quality to Associate Costume Buyers, Costume Buyers and Sr. Costume Buyers to further development of the team.
Lead hourly employees
You will have:
5+ years of experience in garment construction, apparel manufacturing, or apparel quality assurance
Experience with project management
Experience leading hourly Cast
Experience performing cost analysis and comparisons
Experience communicating (verbal & written) to all level of partners
Experience collaborating with all levels of internal and external partners
Ability to work around all types of fibers. fabrics and synthetic furs
Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including extended hours, holidays, and weekends
Ability to commute between Disney and partner locations and travel domestically up to 25% of the time as well as internationally 5% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Passport
Familiarization with union contracts
Experience with garment manufacturing
Multi-lingual (Spanish or Chinese-Mandarin)
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required
Advanced degree in Costuming, Fashion, Garment Manufacturing or related field is preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $63,400 to $ 85,000 per year. Thebase pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary
depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be
provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical,
financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
