About The Role
- Network Operations Engineer L1 support for Joyent Samsung private Cloud.
- NOC technician will monitor the logs and alerts and provide the solution from exiting KB or knowledge.
- Incase additional help needed they need to log JIRA / ServiceNow ticket and assign the same to L2 engineers for further support.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Monitor and Maintain Joyent Cloud Networks
- Monitor and Maintain Joyent Cloud Compute & Storage Systems
- Identify, categorize and respond to Network & Compute system events
- Participate in Incident Management, Problem and Change Management
- Participate in 24x7x365 shift schedules, and be available for additional coverage when needed in an office environment
- Provide Level 1 server and network support as needed
- Read, Understand and follow knowledge base articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Additional tasks as assigned
What You Need
- 1 year of system administration and/or networking operations center experience is desirable, with
- increasing responsibilities
- Intellectual curiosity with a desire to learn is a must
- A self-starter who is willing to learn advanced cloud-computing technologies
- Ability to work in a 24x7x365 environment, in an office/NOC setting
- Functional knowledge of incident handling for IT-related issues
- Understanding of IP networking protocols: IPv4/6, TCP/UDP, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, etc
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with systems UNIX/Linux
- Familiarity with basic network switch commands
- Experience performing system and network maintenance tasks in a highly available data center
- environment
- Experience with device health monitoring software, e.g.; OpenNMS, Zabbix, Circonus
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to understand and follow documentation for procedural tasks
- Recent college graduates in applicable fields of study are encouraged
- This position is located in Littleton, Colorado
What Is Nice To Have
- Shell scripting and/or additional scripting languages, e.g.; Python, Perl, Ruby, Node.js
- Experience with the following is advantageous: Automation/Scripting, Server and Network
- Virtualization Technologies, Hypervisors, and cloud platforms

Salary Ranges:
