Senior Lecturer in Korean

Description

The Asian Studies Department at Vanderbilt University seeks to make a continuing-track appointment in Korean language instruction. The rank is Senior Lecturer, to begin with an initial two-year appointment in fall 2025. Renewal is conditional upon performance review and institutional need.

Qualifications

Candidates for the position should have a Ph.D., in hand by August 1, 2025, or similar terminal degree in a relevant area of study. Native or near-native fluency in spoken and written Korean and a strong command of English are required. The ability to teach a proficiency-based curriculum at all levels of Korean and a familiarity with team-teaching are preferred attributes.
