Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to assessing and identifying potential risks that may threaten our reputation, safety, security, and/or financial success, as well as collaborate with team in communicating and collaborating with key stakeholders across the enterprise, and understanding business objectives.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

The Single-Family Operational Risk Management - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Determine business areas that pose potential risks to the enterprise.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
  • Monitor and report on information and processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
  • Document and report on resolutions and control guidelines.
  • Partner with the team to review business strategies, and make decisions that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 2 years relevant experience in Mortgage Banking / Secondary Marketing / Fixed Income Transactions or Portfolio Management

Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to influence without defined authority and identifying resources to meet the defined objectives
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Relationship Management skills including influencing skills including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, engaging stakeholders, customers, building relationship networks and resolving conflict
  • Strong analytical skills; Experienced at pulling and interpreting process data and information in order to evaluate the impact of proposed risks to the enterprise.
  • Review business strategies, documentation and influence decisions that will drive success and limit operational risk in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.
  • Operational risk experience (1) partnering directly with process owners to anticipate and manage operational risks effectively though the identification, assessment and documentation of risks and controls within both pre-existing and new processes, and (2) conducting risk reviews and/or assessments to identify gaps and recommend process improvements to better manage and reduce risk.
  • Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
