Summary

Responsible to implement the core process of Sanford Employee Health to promote a safe and healthy workforce and environment.

Job Description

Responsible to implement the nursing process within Sanford and the continuum of care. The nursing process is utilized to assess, diagnose, establish a plan with outcome criteria, intervene, evaluate, and document human responses to actual or potential health problems. This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions. Responsible to triage all employee injures to assess the need for initial and ongoing medical treatment and coordinate the return to work process

Qualifications

Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

Experience in Employee Health/Occupational Health preferred. Must have good physical assessment skills and be a self-starter with excellent time management.

Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephone require licensure in the states where the patients being treated. Functions within the legal scope of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred as soon as eligible.
