Finance Assistant – FNZ Securities Global

FNZ Securities Global is looking for a Finance Assistant to assist with its operations across New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the US. The role would primarily assist the Finance team in our billing process, accounts payable / purchase orders, banking, and month end reporting tasks. FNZ will support candidates looking to complete their CA or CPA qualification.

The responsibilities will include:  

• Preparing customer invoices for the FNZ Securities business, maintaining a database of customer billing requirements to ensure accurate monthly and ad-hoc invoicing. Liaising with client directors and project managers to ensure accurate invoicing.

• Assisting the Financial Accountants with month end tasks.

• Ownership of the FNZ Securities AP process including:

  • Issuing Purchase Orders in accordance with Group procurement procedures.

  • Capturing supplier invoices in the Finance system.

  • Checking Staff expense claim and entering into the Finance system.

• Preparation of payments from the banking systems.

• Preparation of bank reconciliations.

• Maintaining record of bank mandates and assisting the Financial Controller in the communication with banks when changes are required.

• Assisting in the management of record keeping to an auditable standard.

• Assisting in the preparation of relevant management reports and supporting the year end audit process.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate? 

We are looking for people with a range of experience, including recent graduates.  Our requirements include:

• Excellent communication skills, along with a good sense of humour.

• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic fast-paced industry.

• Enjoy working as part of a high-performance team.

• Experience with Microsoft packages especially Excel.

• Understanding accounting principles or studying towards CA/CPA or equivalent.

• Experience with Microsoft Navision or D365 is an advantage.
