Job Objective:

Responsible for department cleanliness, food preparation, customer service and maintaining stock in assigned areas. Subject matter expert for Food Service Associate team for questions and training.

Job Description:

Education: N/A Licensure/Certification: Required: Riverside County Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certificate Experience: Required: Six (6) months of restaurant or food service experience

Reports To: Manager or Director Supervises: N/A Ages of Patients: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Blood Borne Pathogens: Minimal/ No Potential

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

Ability to delegate tasks effectively, optimize team productivity and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives, Ability to effectively communicate in a positive and professional manner, Ability to follow instructions, Basic math skills

Essential Responsibilities

1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations. 2. Ensures team members are completing assigned tasks and all shifts are covered. 3. Communicates any concerns with equipment, service issues and products with department leadership. 4. Deals accurately with cash handling; may be required to verify cash drawers and safe with department leadership. 5. Prepares foods according to recipes and standards. 6. Maintains stock levels in assigned area. 7. Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas; keeps work station clean and organized. 8. Follows standards regarding portion sizes; portions and plates foods. 9. Follows regulated hygiene standards. 10. Works all production shifts. 11. Follows food safety guidelines and proper safety procedures related to food service equipment, knives, preparation and holding of foods. 12. Attends all required inservice training. 13. Prepares patient trays according to diets and requests. 14. Dates and stores food. 15. Follows infection control guidelines for handling soiled dishes and utensils. 16. Ensures dishes and pots are clean prior to storing; follows proper procedures for cleaning dishes, utensils, and pots. 17. Documents dish machine temperatures. 18. Reports all sharps found on soiled trays to supervisor. 19. Assists with achieving customer satisfaction goals for the department. 20. Performs other duties as assigned.
