This is a fulltime position that requires occasional evening or weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Builds, maintains, manages, and implements community engagement priorities, goals, and objectives to execute strategic initiatives.
- Maintains relationships with community stakeholders in division initiatives such as SPARK neighborhoods to steward and explore partnership opportunities.
- Supports the Chief Learning Officer (CLO) in partnership communication and relationship tracking through data management.
- Represents the Museum at community meetings and with other stakeholders.
- Keeps abreast of current and pending community issues.
- Manage a large stakeholder community to schedule advocacy engagement opportunities and track engagements in pursuit of the Museum's mission.
- Prepares the CEO and CLO for advocacy engagement and tracking engagement outcomes.
- Manage and update all advocacy talking points, documents, and presentations.
- Attends and participates in learning and community events (tabling, CAC events, parades, etc.) to provide information and resources about the Museum and its initiatives and to support the team and strategy.
- Collaborates with others in the division to prevent redundancies in communication, efforts, or resource allocation.
- Uses tools broadly used by the division to project manage and track touchpoints such as Asana, Airtable, and SharePoint.
- Identifies opportunities for advancement using data and new trends in the Chicago region.
- Works with internal stakeholders on messaging and community events.
- Other duties as assigned.
