Senior Technical eLearning Training Manager

In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in learning theory and design best practices to develop innovative solutions at scale to address critical skill and knowledge gaps in onboarding and everboarding.  You’re confident in making recommendations, flexible to the ideas of others and comfortable executing with autonomy.  As a curious problem solver, you look for solutions to drive measurable impact in our fast-changing, technical, Client Services environment.    

Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements:

Hybrid:
This position is a hybrid role and open to candidates residing in the following locations: Denver, CO.

In a hybrid position, you must reside within a commutable distance from the Fastly office in Denver, CO and you will be expected to work in the office a minimum of 2 days a week

This position may also require travel approximately 1-2 times per year as requested by your manager.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop comprehensive courses utilizing elearning authoring tools and applying adult learning theory to increase learner engagement through audio, video, simulations, games and other interactive tools
  • Gain buy-in by collaborating with product, technical, and CS key stakeholders to create relevant training deliverables for multiple solutions, unique teams, and ongoing skill development
  • Administer Client Services assignments in our LMS, implement process improvement and track feedback to refine course materials
  • Manage the lifecycle of design projects, including SME coordination, assessments and program evaluations, and create reports to summarize progress and outcomes 
  • Partner with other cross-functional teams to support Enablement initiatives requiring your expertise

Work Hours

  • This position will require you to be available during core business hours.

What We're Looking For

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, learning and development or related field
  • 5-10 years of learning design experience and instructional design methodology for the development of professional eLearning or Computer-based Training
  • Experience preferably in a SaaS environment and/or customer service or technical support role 
  • Advanced design skills in course authoring tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, and/or other video and voice editing software
  • Strong understanding of how to utilize graphics, audio, video, quizzes and gaming assets to produce effective and engaging training.
  • Experience with established Learning Management Systems with knowledge of SCORM packaging standards preferred

  • Collaborative and resourceful partner who brings ideas to the team and works well with Internal partners to capture needs and information.

Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $170,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
