Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Logistics Manager to join our Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) team. The selected candidate will assist in providing sustainment support services (operational engineering and logistics support) globally for some 25,000 vehicles including the Army's Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, or MRAPs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Analyzes and coordinates the supply functions of the organization. Responsible for the entire life cycle of supply, including packing, shipping, receiving, transportation of parts, items, and fielding of equipment.  Logistics work requires knowledge and use of Global Combat Services Support System (GCSS) and Logistics Modernization Plan (LMP). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance.  Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates maintenance, fielding, and logistics programs for supported organizations in CONUS and/or OCONUS locations.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert for all logistics and fielding operations.  Must have a working knowledge of AR 700-142 and DA PAM 700-142.  Will attend all New Materiel Introductory Briefings (NMIB) as directed by the government.

  • Responsible for the planning and resourcing of fielding activities.

  • Oversees maintenance and supply procedures, gathers and analyzes data, manages resources, identifies strengths and weaknesses of current processes, and develops cost-efficient solutions to optimize overall operations.

  • Validates supply support requests against available resources, provides analysis, process oversight and real-time tracking information of detailed item-transit data critical to each mission’s objective.

  • Performs research and analysis to identify the best logistics practices.

  • Oversees GCSS-A and LMP at the strategic and operational level.

  • Integrates the actions required of each activity into a comprehensive logistics plan in support of or to be incorporated into overall program plans.

  • Monitors progress toward meeting the logistics plan and to identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems.

  • Assists in the design, development, procurement, production, storage, distribution, maintenance, transportation, utilization, and disposal of material.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of qualified experience and a Master’s degree in a related field (OR) 12+ years of qualified experience and Bachelor’s degree in a related field (OR) 20+ years of qualified experience

  • Experience in Supply Chain Management working with Defense Logistics Agency and other DOD Logistics Agencies.

  • Subject Matter Expert using Global Combat Service Support Systems (GCSS) or STAMIS or an equivalent commercial LMIS.

  • Experience providing administrative support and coordination to a contract, project or task.

  • Experience preparing and managing correspondence, reports and documents, implementing and maintaining office systems, schedules and calendars, handling incoming mail and other material, set up and maintaining file systems, collating information, and maintaining databases.

  • Experience auditing internal policies/procedures and recommending process improvement initiatives.

  • Experience managing M1 ABRAMS, Bradley Fighting Vehicle System, Hercules Heavy Recovery Vehicle Platforms for TACOM (Army Tank-Automotive & Armament Command).

  • Experience with Logistics Modernization Program (LMP/SAP) I2Log, LIW, FEDLOG.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have an active (DoD) Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and knee.

  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.

  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
