Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Cyber Threat Operations team is looking for an experienced technical leader to support our Incident Response and Security Automation services. This leader plays a critical role in the strategic direction of the cyber security program and is an ambassador to our senior leadership team across the organization. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about Incident Response and the need to continuously improve service delivery and threat mitigation. While this role requires strategic and polished leadership traits you will also need to have the mindset of a “doer”, have the move quickly, and be able keep organized while constantly balancing priorities and multitasking. This role will require you to craft and present well thought out and concise metrics and presentations to peers and executive leadership. These teams and services support the global portfolio of NBCUniversal.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the service delivery and maturity of SOC Operations, Incident Response, Incident Communications & Remediations, and Security Automation & Orchestration.
  • Act as the Cyber Incident Commander ensuring the team has clear direction and expectations during all phases of an incident.
  • Ability and willingness to support cyber incidents and escalations 24/7.
  • Proven success in managing a mixture of individual contributors, people leaders, and SMEs.
  • Experience in developing technical acumen and supporting performance growth and mobility.
  • Desire to be an involved manager who can mentor, educate, and support a team of hardworking and ambitious individuals.
  • Keep a continuous pulse of your services and analysis being conducted and ensure proper process and communications are followed.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define service roadmaps, resource allocation, and business engagement/support.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise in complex cyber incident investigations, containment & mitigation strategies, and cyber security strategy.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with business leaders, technology partners, and Cyber Security leaders to enhance our response capabilities and support during critical incidents.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, industry trends, and technological advancements to continuously improve service offerings and team capabilities
  • Advise business partners on incident response preparedness, post-incident remediation, and proactive measures to enhance our cybersecurity posture across the organization
  • Act as a well-polished leader and subject matter expert, represent Cyber Sr Leadership in internal and external meetings that have implications on our services and relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in incident response and digital forensics, with 4+ years in a leadership role within a large enterprise
  • Ability to manage leaders and large, multi-layer teams positioned across the US and Europe.
  • Experience conducting Incident Response & analysis in AWS is required. Experience with Azure and GCP a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling security services, including experience in strategic planning, team management, and polished communication and presentation skills.
