Position:    Registered Nurse

Shift/Schedule: PRN Shift

Location: Nisqually Correctional Facility

Pay Rate: $31.32-$65/hour

How YOU can make an Impact:

Responsible for evaluating and providing comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting while observing and maintaining security requirements.  Care shall include, but not be exclusive of, initial examination upon entry into the correctional facility, day-to-day medical care, and responding to medical emergencies.  Provide outstanding customer service to all customers including, but not limited to, patients, correctional facility staff, internal employees are other individuals providing services to MEDIKO and its clients.  Ensure that the mission and objectives of MEDIKO and its client(s) are realized and fulfilled.  Goals shall include, but not be exclusive of:

  • delivery of excellent health care within a correctional facility

  • development and maintenance of effective health care staff

  • promotion of an effective and supportive work environment

  • adherence to contractual obligations

  • promotion of quality improvement

What we ask of YOU:

  • Active, unencumbered state/commonwealth Registered Nurse license

  • Completion of an Accredited Nursing Program leading to licensure with the ability to practice as a Registered Nurse

  • Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
