Position Summary: 
At CVS Health, we’re transforming how technology supports our mission to improve healthcare delivery. As a Technical Product Owner with expertise in project management, you will act as the bridge between business needs and technical solutions. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to align product goals with organizational strategies and champion agile practices for continuous delivery of impactful solutions.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 years in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role with exposure to agile practices and software development
  • 3+ experience with formal Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP, SAFe) and traditional waterfall methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to ensure product goals align with organizational strategies and deliver measurable business value
  • Experience creating and maintain a prioritized product backlog, focusing on value, functionality, security, user experience, and testing needs in collaboration with the agile team

Responsibilities:

  • Agile Leadership: Champion product goals within the Project Management Office (PMO), identifying and documenting Epics, Features, Product Backlog Items (PBIs), and tasks to support the agile software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a conduit between business and technical teams, ensuring identified solutions meet business requirements and adhere to organizational technical standards
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Utilize agile methodologies to define user stories and acceptance criteria, fostering a product-focused team environment
  • Roadmap Development: Work with sponsors and product teams to develop and document clear roadmaps that align business objectives with technical execution
  • Breakdown and Planning: Decompose large work items into logical Epics, Features, and PBIs, planning execution based on team capacity
  • Requirement Elicitation: Identify and document business needs using techniques like interviews, document analysis, and requirements transformation, ensuring alignment from high-level Epics to detailed PBIs
  • Communication and Validation: Regularly review and validate backlogs, ensuring requirements, priorities, and specifications are aligned with business goals and clearly communicated to stakeholders
  • Agile Facilitation: Lead ceremonies such as sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure smooth delivery cycles
  • Quality Assurance Collaboration: Partner with the Quality Assurance team to ensure comprehensive testing coverage through system and user acceptance testing


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$101,970.00 - $203,940.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
