We have an opening for a Staff Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA, to support various programs.
In this role, you will support network system security engineering matters for a large computer facility and will provide technical consultation, guidance in the design, development, and deployment of secure network infrastructure. You will be responsible for understanding functional system requirements and deriving security controls to provide technical implementation solutions to various engineering teams in order to comply with federal system requirements; identify system design and operational vulnerabilities and make recommendations to address deficient areas; work with network engineers to securely configure systems per customer security standards, community best practices and benchmarks. This position requires deep knowledge of LAN / WAN networking and will provide top level architecture support to the program and its remote sites (including international).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience; PhD with 8 years of relevant experience
- Active SCI/CI Poly required at the time of application
- Expert of networking and computer security processes
- Experience working with Computer Security/ISSO personnel
- Experience with real-time operational environments
- Security+ Cert
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willing to travel internationally
- Ability to mentor and train staff members
- Experience with virtualization technologies to include virtual software, machines, and appliances
- Experience with RMF, Cyber Vulnerability Testing, Security Control Traceability Matrices, Software Vulnerability Analysis, and Software & Firmware Assurance
- Cisco certifications such as CCNP
