Baseband Mechanical Engineering Internship

Family Description

Corporate Services (AD) consists of executive, professional, and support services in the areas of general administration, facility and real estate management, health, security, and secretarial services as well as external affairs and information services. Comprises other enterprise-wide functions such as trainees.

Subfamily Description

Trainee (TRA) comprises graduates taking part in Nokia's trainee programme (only for the duration of the programme). Trainees rotate through different functions to experience the company from the ground and up.

Design & Modeling:

• Develop and optimize mechanical components using 3D design software CREO
• Create parametric models for design validation and iteration

Simulation & Analysis:

• Conduct computational simulations using FEA tools (ANSYS)
• Support design validation through simulation-driven optimization
• Analyze structural integrity with baseband application

Prototyping & Manufacturing:

• Collaborate with manufacture to transition designs from concept to production
• Support testing of prototypes
• Document design iterations and manufacturing processes

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions

Technical Proficiency:

• Familiar with at least one of the following areas: advanced electronic packaging and structural design; complex electronic system integration; EMC–mechanical co-design principles and best practices.;
• Advanced proficiency in 3D software operation
• Experience with FEA simulation tools (ANSYS or similar)
• Knowledge of parametric modeling and design optimization
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (3D printing, machining, assembly)
