Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Electronics Industrial Control Mechanic ~ without more than normal supervision without more than normal supervision which includes: (1) Maintain, test and repair various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment and/or machinery; (2) Experience with circuits and basic logic circuits to power, timing and motion controls; and; (3) Use of electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams and/or schematics. Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Required to push, pull, reach, walk, stand, crawl, kneel, bend and work in cramped positions over and under machinery of all types for sustained periods of time. WORKING CONDITIONS: Incumbent performs work inside areas that are adequately lighted, ventilated, and heated. Floor and deck surfaces are sometimes uneven, oily, and slippery. They are frequently, exposed to moving objects and vibration from machines. In shop areas, exposed to injury from moving machinery, falls from heights over 20 feet, deep pit areas that require environmental testing before working, danger of burns, electric shocks, bruises, cuts, shop noises, skin irritants and toxic environments. Uses moderate physical effort, fine finger dexterity and close visual attention. Uses personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, steel toe shoes and safety harnesses & self-rescue equipment for compliance with fall protection requirements.
