Senior Vice President, Global Head of Oncology and Hematology Product Development

Leads and oversees the global Clinical Development function and team for the Oncology therapeutic area. Creates and executes global strategies for late stage clinical development, including design, implementation, monitoring and evaluating clinical trials and other associated clinical development programs in the assigned portfolio. Responsibilities are typically for clinical development leadership and oversight of large phase II and phase III programs and filing activities, but may also include responsibilities for post-marketing clinical trials, programs and/or other projects. With team, works closely with internal cross-functional stakeholders, external investigators, various corporate partners and regulatory health agencies and authorities. Oversees and appoints Development Review Committee (DRC) chairs and serves as an internal consultant to Roche governance committees. Represents the clinical development strategy, plans, objectives and interests of the assigned portfolio to health authorities, other regulators, therapeutic area experts and other influencers. Manages across multiple projects and/or teams with different goals; providing guidance regarding overall clinical development strategies and prioritisation for the assigned portfolio. Provides important insights and contributions to the overall development and effectiveness of global Product Development and the assigned therapeutic area(s). Selects, develops and evaluates employees to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsible for the global clinical development of the assigned portfolio within a single Roche division. May be accountable for clinical development for the assigned portfolio for all continents where the division has operations. A division can be defined as Pharma, Dia, DC, and Group Functions. MD is required.
