<p><span><span>We are looking for a Senior Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to join us on our journey to a Brighter Future<br/>
This role is responsible for the management and delivery of packages relating to the acquisition, interrogation and assessment of site investigation data during the development phase of a range of offshore renewable projects. You will play a leading role in the development of ESB’s offshore renewable portfolio of projects. </span></span></p>

<p><b><span><span>Key Responsibilities</span></span></b><br/>
<span><span>• Provide strong management skills in leading offshore site investigation campaigns, including geotechnical drilling, geophysics, and metocean investigations, while coordinating contractor and sub-consultant activities.<br/>
• Lead the scoping and procurement of site investigation activities, adhering to shareholder procurement requirements, and manage geotechnical risk related to offshore renewables projects.<br/>
• Utilise strong interpretive skills during the interrogation and acquisition of desk study and site data for the development and design of offshore assets, communicating associated risks.<br/>
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, project partners, external design consultants, and contractors to produce optimal solutions suiting project objectives, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technological solutions and developments.<br/>
• Lead the identification of research topics such as software, technologies, materials, and fabrication methodologies, and work as part of multi-disciplinary teams in developing technical aspects of offshore wind projects.<br/>
• Represent ESB at conferences, industry working groups, development consortiums, supply chain meetings, etc., and provide technical and strategic advice to Lead Engineer / Project Manager(s) on projects.<br/>
• Share knowledge with colleagues and support the development of junior staff.</span></span></p>

<p><b><span><span>Knowledge, Skills and Experience</span></span></b></p>

<p><span><span><b>Essential</b><br/>
• Minimum 5 years of relevant consultancy experience in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, or a directly related field, with a Level 8 Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.<br/>
• Strong experience in the scoping, procurement, and management of site investigation or related projects, along with strong technical skills and a track record in analysing site data and communicating findings to support decision making.<br/>
• A proactive attitude with proven experience in interfacing and collaborating effectively across multi-disciplinary teams to support decision making during significant engineering projects.<br/>
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to travel as required with a valid driving license and passport.</span></span></p>

<p><b><span><span>Desirable</span></span></b></p>
<p><span><span>• Experience in executing nearshore or offshore site investigation campaigns [geotechnical, geophysical, metocean] in a comparable role/function.<br/>
• Demonstrable experience in geotechnical design of offshore structures, with associated analysis of geophysical, geotechnical and geological data.<br/>
• Level 9 Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Offshore Engineering, or a related discipline<br/>
• Project Management qualification<br/>
• Chartered Engineer (or Geologist, or equivalent), or be working towards the same, with a relevant professional body.</span></span></p>

<span><span><b>Location </b><br/>
This role is based in either E&MP Dublin/ Cork offices but travel to project locations as required is a key requirement of the role.<br/>

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week.
