The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic ENT clinical practice. We are seeking a motivated provider to work in collaboration with consultants, residents, and advanced practitioners caring for our general medical ENT patients. Responsibilities will include the clinical evaluation, diagnosis, work up, and management of a wide spectrum of ENT ailments. This position will afford the applicant tremendous autonomy, requiring expert management of an independent, outpatient clinical calendar.
There likewise, will be some required collaborative duties within several of our subspecialties. There will be ample opportunity for in office clinical procedures, but the assignment does not entail operating room or inpatient care responsibilities. Applicants must be motivated, team oriented, flexible, and possess exemplary assessment, organization, communication, and time management skills.
The NP/PA, likewise, will be encouraged to pursue educational, research and academic opportunities.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an DNP, ANP, ACNP, or FNP. Prior ENT experience strongly preferred, but not required.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
Must hold or be able to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications within the first year of hire. Must hold or be eligible for DEA registration. Candidates are asked to attach three letters of reference to their online application in order to be considered for this position.
