The Opportunity
This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division.
The Community Manager reporting to the Influencer Activation & Community Management Lead within the Internal Agency, Creative + Digital Services (CDS) plays a critical engaging with the social community through the consistent monitoring and response of social channel activity. As part of the Social Experience Team, you’ll be working closely with social content planners and designers, identifying trends and developing content that resonates with our community.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Responsible for monitoring activity on Abbott Nutrition’s social channels and engaging with consumers on behalf of our brands.
- Responsible for identifying trends and content inspiration to generate, recommend, and conceptualize social media content ideas.
- Publishes and boosts social media posts.
- Develops and reports on rich community insights from inbound social and external social listening.
- Works with cross-functional teams to develop and evolve guardrails to guide future social media content and community responses.
- Owns monitoring and reporting on competitive social activity.
- Vets social media influencers for surprise and delight activations and social media content opportunities.
- Ensures social activation adheres to policies and guidelines and works cross-functionally to communicate best practices.
- Escalates crisis events on social media and communicates impact with cross-functional teams.
- Consults on new channel launches to document launch plans necessary for success.
Required Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field
- 2+ years of community management experience
Preferred
- High level of expertise in social media best practices and a passion for staying current with social media trends
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to facilitate communication and share out of results and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly evolving, complex demands, including multiple projects with dependencies on other teams.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to solve complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independent
