Supervisor Title: Maintenance Associate Team Leader / Team Leader
Job Summary:
• Supports and adheres to all safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Qualifies and maintains proficiency in all applicable technical skills and meets job
description requirements for those positions.
• Responsible for maintenance and improvements of machines such as: mechanical rotating
equipment, conveying equipment, vibrating equipment, mechanical drives, and the
support for each.
• Responsibilities include maintenance improvements of piping in our plant such as: pipe,
fittings, valves, spouts, chutes, and some thin metal fabrication and repairs. Also includes
some minor carpentry and insulation work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential functions and additional responsibilities:
• Wears designated PPE
• Qualified and physically able to wear and work in a dust mask and full-face respirator
• Protects safety, the environment and quality craftsmanship in all situations
• May work rotating shifts as scheduled
• Qualifies to drive a fork lift, JLG, and carry deck crane on an as-needed basis
• Troubleshoot and repair assets to their desired operating function.
• Works with operation employees to troubleshoot equipment repairs and modifications.
• Works closely with employees, contractors and outside personnel
• Communicates effectively, both written and verbal, with employees, contractors and
outside personnel
• Completes shop papers with detailed description of work performed during the repair and
time to complete the task.
• Performs assigned computer functions
• Safely lifts tools, parts and equipment, using others or mechanical means to ensure a safe
lift.
• Ascends and descends stairs up to 12 stories
• Works in hot and humid inside environment
• Works outside in all seasons
• Carries out work plan and housekeeping schedule as defined in Shop Papers or specified
by Associate Team Leader/ Team Leader
• Performs essential functions of the job he/she is assigned to perform

Job Specifications:
• Adheres to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Is able to operate hand and power tools, welding, rigging, exhibits troubleshooting skills,
has pipe design skills, ability to read blueprints and P&ID. Skills in maintaining turbines
and compressor, general lubrication knowledge and high mechanical skills.
• Performs emergent, reactive, and mechanical PM lubrication tasks.
• Commonly uses a computer to perform various functions.
• Performs assigned environmental and housekeeping tasks
• Requires minimal supervision to perform assigned duties
• Assists in developing standardized mechanical methods, hardware, system designs and
maintaining piping and process standards while installing new piping and rotating
equipment.
• Fits and performs socket weld, butt weld and threaded pipe.
• Runs and bends SS tubing.
• Runs groove pipe.
• Fabricates CPVC, PVC, Fibercast piping.
• Qualifies as a certified rigger.
• Recommends and acts on preventative maintenance on mechanical and piping systems.
• Uses shop papers to clearly document recommendations and provide precise/concise
description of work completed.
• Completes basic sheet metal work. i.e. guards.
• Completes activities or projects on time and within budget.
• Recommends improvements on existing mechanical and piping systems.
• Assists in developing work standards, methods and equipment design.
• Identifies spare parts and inventory levels on newly installed equipment and mechani
